Founded the Memphis Group 1981 in Milan, sparking the postmodern design movement that rebelled against good-taste minimalism with bright colors, wild patterns, asymmetric forms. Compasso d'Oro multiple times. Memphis influenced 80s/90s pop culture, fashion, and product design globally.
